Quick Search

Inside a dataset, press Ctrl+K (⌘K on a Mac) anywhere, or click the Search field in the top bar, to open the quick search. Type a few letters and press Enter — no need to reach for the mouse or expand the menu. On a phone or tablet the search icon in the top bar opens the same panel.

Jumping to a page

Start typing the name of any menu entry — balance finds Balance Sheet, tax finds Tax Collected and Tax Paid, vendor lists everything under Vendors. Each result shows where it lives in the menu, so two entries with the same name (the customer and vendor Overview, for example) are easy to tell apart. Names match in English, German and French, whichever language you are working in.

Only pages you have permission to open are listed — the quick search shows exactly what your menu shows.

Use ↑ ↓ to move through the results and Enter to open the highlighted one; Esc closes the panel.

Opening a transaction by number

Type an invoice number, a document number or a journal reference — for example EB-366, 1184263 or X-48 — and matching transactions appear above the pages. Each row shows the number, the customer or vendor, the date, the amount and the kind of transaction. Press Enter to open it.

  • Customer invoices and transactions are found when you have the customer Overview permission.
  • Vendor invoices and transactions are found when you have the vendor Overview permission.
  • Journal entries (by reference) are found when you can post or view the General Ledger.

A transaction that is still in the approval workflow carries a Pending badge with the name of the station it is waiting in. It is listed when you can work on it — either as a member of that station or through the Inbox — and opens the way your approval queue would, so posting or approving it takes you back to the queue.

Favorites, recent pages and transactions

Open the quick search without typing anything and it shows your Favorites first, then the last five pages you visited and the last five transactions you opened in this dataset, so you can hop back with a single keystroke. The recent lists are kept per browser; favorites follow you to every device.

Every page in the results carries a star at the right edge: click it to pin the page to Favorites, or click a filled star to unpin it, without closing the search.
